Wishbomb.com is inspired by research from some of the world’s best Universities and organizations that have categorically proven that:
With that in mind, on Wishbomb.com you can enter a personal goal in your Goal List, invite friends and family to become your supporters and then publish a WishBlog telling everyone how you’re doing.
BUT THAT’S NOT ALL…
Wishbomb was designed around the core values of SMART Goals, which state that making your goals Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely significantly increases your chance of achieving your goals. Here’s how…
Specific Goals
Even though you can attempt ANY goal on Wishbomb, we recommend you make them straightforward, focused and… well, specific! Instead of entering, ‘be healthier’, why don’t you try, ‘eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day’?
Measurable Goals
Setting goals is great, but most of the time they need to be broken down into smaller mini-goals and tasks. This is the heart of Wishbomb – by creating your daily to-do list and plotting milestones to reach along the way, you will be able to see if you’re staying on track or not.
Attainable Goals
Is your goal even possible? Goals shouldn’t be pipe dreams - don’t set yourself the goal of running a marathon in a month if you’ve not yet taken up jogging! Yes, your goals should stretch you and push you to new levels of confidence, happiness and pride, but make sure they’re achievable!
Realistic Goals
So your goals may be attainable but are they realistically achievable? Make sure that you know, or can learn, what the skills and techniques are that you’ll need to master. Don’t worry – we’ve created the ‘Useful Stuff’ section in your GoalZone to help you get all the information and tools you’ll need!
Timely Goals
Set yourself a deadline for your goal. Putting an end point for your goal gives you a clear target to work towards. Deadlines stop the goal from being vague – with the GoalZone deadline clock always counting down, you’ll know what you need to do, by what date.
AND FINALLY…
On Wishbomb.com you can use the MyWord feature to set a forfeit of something you’ll do if you fail to complete your goal. Studies have shown that setting ‘commitment contracts’ has been proven to increase your chances of succeeding in your goal so why not have a go yourself?
