Still going strong with beating the Barclaycard bills! Why does January always have to be so tough to save?!

2011-12-30

OK - Post Crimbo debrief! I've been trying to pay off £50 a month from the dreaded Barclaycard and I've managed most months but of course Christmas was expensive HOWEVER I think I did pretty good. Need to up my game over the next few months but compared to how much I spent last Christmas I did really well. Even if I say so myself!

Still scrimping, still saving and slowly getting there. But anyone else find Christmas the WORST time ever to try to save money?!

2011-11-08

Oh Gawd... Christmas looms and I'm half way through paying off my credit card but still have some way to go. Not sure how I'm going to stay on track but have bought a book to help me control my gift-buying urges!

So I've been a bit rubbish lately but someone requested to support me so I'll get back on it! I HAVE been paying off my credit card though, so far I've paid off £100 which is good but I need to up it a gear. Time to cut costs!

2011-04-10

One credit card, lots spent on it and a determination to pay it off! I'm going to start by cutting it up (good start!) so I can't use it. Then I'm going to do a money audit and see where I can save cash each month. That money will go to paying my credit card off.

Sounds like you need a second source of income. A second source really worked for me. If you are looking then send me a message. Keep on keeping on!

Sounds like you've made a good start! I've got virtually the same goal too - I've been paying off about £100 a month so far, but I'm going to be out of a job soon and have no idea how to plan my money management at the moment :( Good luck with yours though!
