Thanks Ricky! But - and you will probably have realised this from the time lapse since my last blog - think I needed a bit more luck to get me going! Here come the excuses: my cold developed into more of a flu bug which wiped me out for a bit; I was just in the middle of finishing up a job which was distracting (or the series of goodbye drinks were...ahem); and I didn't get enough support from you, fellow Wishbombers! Okay, the last excuse is not entirely fair - I've just finished using the site to source some good material for my goal "relaunch", but I do need some more members for this Group - so please join!

So, I've just joined the site, created my Group, and feel I should keep up the momentum and start weight training asap! Despite having a bit of a cold, am therefore off to the gym tomorrow. First things first though: think about what exercises I need to do, and the changes in my diet I need to make. To be honest, I am a regular gym attendee, but I am the kind of guy who just launches himself at various machines and only sees a little improvement after what feels like way too much effort. So the new plan is to read up on the "science" of body-building and formulate more effective routines. I'm sure a lot of people will ask why I haven't thought about getting a personal trainer. Well, money. And the challenge of doing it myself. With the right books, websites and videos, I hope to prove you can achieve the same results. Wishbomb me luck!
